After a brief, one-year hiatus, Drake’s insanely popular OVO Fest concert series is returning to Toronto in just a few weeks. As promised by Drake at the Raptors championship parade, OVO Fest 2019 is officially happening this summer. Drake announced the lineup on Instagram early Thursday morning. This year’s OVO Fest has been set for Sunday, August 4th and Monday, August 5th, a civic holiday weekend in Ontario.
Among the artist joining him on stage are B2K, Mario, Lloyd, Pretty Ricky, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy and Bobby V. The fest will take place at its usual venue, Toronto’s Budweiser Stage. Tickets will be going on sale this Friday.
Days before OVO Fest, Drake will host the OVO Summit in partnership with RBC. OVO Summit is a series of workshops designed for young creatives in Canada, which will teach them the tools they need to succeed in their industry. It promises one-of-a-kind offers, exclusive access, experiences, and creative content which captures the backstory of the rise of the iconic OVO brand.
Also on the card is OVO Bounce, a basketball showcase event put on by OVO Basketball. OVO Bounce “sees all walks of life coming to enjoy a basketball showcase featuring local Toronto legends to NBA All-Stars,” according to director LeSean Harris.
